Numerous industries are covered by thousands of worldwide standards created by ISO. Some of their requirements, however, go beyond these limitations.

Quality Management under ISO 9001:2015

The most recent edition of this standard is ISO 9001:2015, and it should be a cornerstone of any organization. There are other standards in the ISO 9000 family (which addresses quality management), but only ISO 9001:2015 allows for certification.

Although the business processes and procedures will be housed in some sort of system, frequently referred to as a Quality Management System (QMS), the standard is intended to: Make sure the goods and services delivered adhere to the specifications.

Establish a system to track the efficiency of the quality management system, its results, and the procedures and processes used to stop the flow of non-conforming goods and services.

Make sure that senior management, stakeholders, and the management system's operations all have clearly defined roles and duties.
